Broccoli Cheese Quiche

By muddledblog

Today was another chance for me to make a quiche using the pie dough my wonderful girlfriend (or Laura for those in the know) prepared earlier in the day. Todays ingredients included broccoli, provolone, madrigal (which got only an okay rating on the cheese list), onion, and dried hot pepper flakes. The finishing touch was 10 minutes at 375 using the speed bake feature on the stove which resulted in a nice browning to the top. Doesn’t it look good? Laura says she is going to teach me how to make a nice edge to the pie crust next time. The nice blue pie pan is hers. As is the cool bean filled glass trivet. I also used her marble rolling pin. She has all the cool kitchen stuff.

You can read about my first attempt here. I have made it one other time since then, using broccoli and cheddar.
